Salyer McLaughlin is a Writer / Director / Producer / Cinematographer and Editor best known for his emotionally-charged television commercials and short-form productions. He has developed branding for such prestigious organizations as the United Nations, the United States Department of Transportation, Mercedes-Benz, Paul Mitchell, the Department of Labor, IZOD Lacoste, Body Glove International, the Catholic Church, Intercontinental Hotel Group, World Bank, the Humane Society, and National Geographic.

 

His filmmaking has taken him all over the world during his storied 25+ year career, which included a 15-year stint in Los Angeles directing national TV commercials, music videos, and documentaries. His work has captured the attention of many prominent publications and has received multiple Addy, Telly, and International Broadcast Awards.

 

Salyer has also been responsible for launching national media campaigns to promote numerous environmental and social causes. The results of these efforts have not only changed the course of U.S. politics, but their creativity and impact have also gained Salyer international acclaim in the media. In the process, he has made multiple appearances on ABC World News and CBS Evening News and has been featured in articles in Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post, Hollywood Reporter, and Ad Week.

 

Salyer has launched several production companies during his career, including his newest entity, Big Picture Media, which he formed in 2010 (https://bigpicturemedia.tv/).

Salyer is also the Chairman of Big Blue Foundation, Inc., a 501 (C) 3 Charitable Foundation incorporated in both California and Maryland.

 

As a Filmmaker, Salyer’s core motivation is to tell stories which inspire and move people, while changing the cultural landscape and expanding a deeper understanding of our world.

An award-winning Producer, Artist, and Activist, over his long and storied career, Quigley has created numerous live art events, concerts, videos, and environmental websites.

 

He has produced projects in association with such luminaries as Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Leo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Prince Charles, Sting, Martin Sheen, Salma Hayek, Pele, Daryl Hannah, Julia Butterfly Hill, Bill McKibben, Naomi Klein, Marshall Herskovitz, and many others from the entertainment industry.

 

He currently serves on the board of the Environmental Media Association (EMA).

 

As founder of Spectral Q, the world’s leading ‘Living Aerial Art’ production company, Quigley has created more than 200 Aerial Art images involving over 250,000 people on 7 continents. These include the ‘100% Renewable Eiffel Tower Peace Symbol’ after the Paris terror attacks that went viral on social media and landed on front page of publications from around the globe, Da Vinci’s ‘Melting Vitruvian Man’ near the North Pole, the world’s largest crop art on the Keystone pipeline route, and the ‘Love All Picasso Peace Dove’ in Jericho – which was chosen as one of the 49 most iconic images in the history of the United Nations.

 

Quigley’s body of work has been profiled in the London Sunday Times Magazine and has appeared in hundreds of media outlets around the world including Time Magazine, The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, International Herald Tribune, Financial Times, French Geo, Le Monde, Stern, CNN, BBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, Discovery Channel, Origins, In Touch Magazine and others. He has also been responsible for many ‘firsts’ in the medium. For example, his project, ‘Arctic Wisdom’ – an image with Inuit on the sea ice off Baffin Island in 2005 – was the world’s first large-scale climate art project.

 

In response to the BP oil spill, he co-founded Counterspill.org which won multiple Webby awards in 2012 (for Activism, Environment and People’s Choice for Activism).

 

Quigley has worked with virtually every major environmental organization in the US, including having served on the national and international boards for Earth Day, as well as an Amazon Watch Ambassador. Additionally, he has worked extensively with Amnesty International and Greenpeace International, while serving on the board of the Whaleman Foundation.

Rhonda has over 25 years experience in the design industry as well as 15 years experience in video production and branding. She has strong communication skills, which seem to help her in all aspects of her endeavors--as an independent SetDesigner and Project Manager, as well as the Director of Marketing and Production for Big Picture Media. Rhonda also serves as Director of Social Affairs and Fundraising for Big Blue Foundation. Rhonda is a leader in the community in which she resides and has been responsible for raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for a wide range of charities and non-profit organizations over a 20 year period.

Bruce McLaughlin
Bruce W. McLaughlin
Director of Legal Affairs

Bruce currently owns and operates his own successful private law practice in Leesburg, VA.. He’s a graduate of George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C., George Mason University Law School in Arlington, Virginia and Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

He’s a member of the American Bar Association, Virginia State Bar and Loudoun County Bar Association. His key litigation practice areas are Criminal, Business Transactions, Personal Injury/Wrongful Death, and Family Law. He has successfully litigated or settled more than 50 personal injury cases, exceeding $10 million dollars in awards.

As a successful defense attorney, he has defended a wide variety of criminal cases including murder, rape, malicious wounding, child pornography, robbery/larceny, resulting in either acquittal or reduced charges for the Defendant in most cases.

Bruce has also served as an International consultant in the art of negotiations and alternate dispute resolution areas involving mediation, conciliation, and arbitration. Bruce currently makes his home in Frederick, Maryland and is responsible for all legal matters pertaining to the the Big Blue Foundation and it’ 501 (C) 3 status and oversees all IRS quarterly filings. Bruce has been an integral part of BBF since its’ inception in 1992 when the Public Charity was first incorporated.
